Rare Vintage Alex Martin Hooded Front and Vernier Rear Optical Sights - Glasgow

This is a rare set of Alex Martin optical sights from the Scottish gunsmith. These sights have an lens in both the front and rear sights and a level in the front one. They are large in size measuring 7" in length. I am not sure what gun they are made for but appear complete. The rear vernier sight is dovetailed at the bottom but has an adjustment screw below that. It is marked with the No. 1 on the front and back. The front sight has an area underneath that one can fit over an existing front sight. Early optical sights like these run in the 2 to 2.5X range. Definitely a unique set of sights from a well known gun maker from the early part of the Twentieth Century.
