They are not designed to increase maximum range, rather they are designed to provide more shot in the kill zone at reasonable ranges. These chokes are made from a high grade 17-4 ph heat-treated stainless steel so they will handle all types of loads on the market today including steel, tungsten nickel, Hevi weight loads and other Non-toxic loads that are available for waterfowl hunting. Federal Black Cloud loads are not recommended for these models. Since they are made from a high grade stainless, they will not rust or wear. They are also great for upland game and dove hunting.
