Presented is an antique c. 1890s sterling silver large buckle by George Shiebler.
I’ve been a Shieblerphile for years and have never encountered this design.
It is formed as a pair of snakes, each one’s head intertwining with the other’s tail.
The detailing is wonderful.
A fabulous addition to your Shiebler collection.
