Beautiful extremely fine or much better copper coin with great red coloring. This is the 1890 one Pesa coin from German East Africa. This low denomination coin depicts the German imperial eagle on the obverse with the legend "DEUTSCHE OSTAFRIKANISCHE GESELLSCHAFT 1890" surrounding the crowned eagle. The legend translates to German East Africa Company 1890. The reverse has a central legend in Arabic alphabet which translates to the words "German Company" and is surrounded by a wreath along the edge. It is KM-1, is made of copper, weighs ~6.5 grams and measures ~25 mm in diameter. Please carefully review the scan provided as it is part and parcel of our description.

I would grade the coin as a good extremely fine or much better. It retains some of its original luster and red coloring. It shows all of its details with minimum wear and losses. It has some minor surface scratches and bag marks, but is beautiful and has great eye appeal. The coin is much better than the photos show.
