    Description

    Czech Republic - 200 Korun
1998 Silver PROOF Coin - Nice condition
Bohemian composer from Kolin - Frantisek Kmoch
There is an annual festival in Kolin celebrating their famous son.
Kmoch composed the famous polka "Skoda lasky" (Forlorn / Wasted Love) which was translated by WWII American GIs to "Roll out the barrel" and became the Beer Barrel polka
... I suppose if you are going to change the title of one of the more famous Czech tunes, might as well go with a beer theme.  Them Czechs are fond of beer...and the American GIs were as well.
    Scarce coin. Cheers
