1995 Mercedes-Benz E-Class 320

Description

Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
This is a 1995 E320 wagon with approximately 179,000 miles on the odometer.
The following is my impression of the condition of the car.
The good:
* Suspension feels totally sorted, giving a smooth Mercedes ride.
* Good brakes.
* Repaint about 2 years ago in factory white.
* No visible surface rust.
* Power windows work.
* Power sunroof works in both directions (tilt/slide).
* Power locks work.
* Lights and blinkers work.
* Cruise control works, but the stalk may occasionally become loose. Needs to be pressed back in.
* Engine makes good power across rev band.
* Two new rear tires.
* Has deployable rear facing child seats in the trunk area.
The bad:
* Climate control blower does not work.
* Leather at steering wheel is degraded (see pics).
* Rear hatch (tailgate) struts are weak.
* ABS, Brake, ASR lights all on. Clearly something up in the traction control/abs system.
* Slight engine shake at idle.
* Slight accessory belt whine from front of engine.
* Steering is firm in general but there's a weird loose feel as you turn the wheel.
* Power seats work but hesitate. Need assistance to get them to move sometimes.
* Might need a new radio/head unit. Don't know if this one still works.
* Last oil change date unknown, however likely within 18 mos.

So currently, as you can see, there are numerous issues that are not cheap fixes at a mechanic, and perhaps not even if you work on cars yourself. Car is drivable and comfortable around town and on highway at highway speeds but I would consider another means for longer trips at this time based on brake and engine issues noted above, and until it's been looked at by a mechanic.
For history, this car used to be mine but I gifted it to my mother a few years ago. It's been a great car for my family. I am now selling it for her, and unfortunately have only had about 30 minutes behind the wheel since she moved back.
